Ahem.
I've read a couple of pages here and there and admittingly not the whole thing. I cannot offer much in the department of storyline but what I can offer is my thoughts and ideas on the artwork itself. My thoughts are as follows.
The paneling could be a little bit more dynamic but that is not necessarily a bad thing. We all know that too much of anything can cause the bag to burst so in this case I think it works well enough. You might want to study up a bit on fitting text into bubbles, there are guides floating around and making slight changes so your text does not seem so crowded can make a major difference in readability and overall sexiness.
I love sonic the hedgehog from back in the day and even played sonic adventure 2 battle for the gamecube (and LOVED it!) You do a very powerful job in recreating the characters and making them even seem believable that they are indeed the characters. Kudos to your character expressions.
The backgrounds aren't the most detailed things on the planet but naturally you want your characters to stand out. This helps in that sense. A well detailed character is obviously much more viewable in front of a not as detailed background, making it seem "focused" on them.
Your coloring is superb! I've always loved the more traditional feel when I could pull myself away from tones but I greatly respect cell shading as well. You are able to pull it off with a vengeance and make things very shiny.
Good job! Keep it up!
